Job Description
Eximietas Design is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lead Engineer to join our growing team of Automotive Functional safety experts. You will be responsible for software modules that form part of a solution which includes a reference platform and its associated software stack that is specifically designed for autonomous vehicle applications.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of engineers in the development and testing of automotive software that conforms to Functional Safety (ISO26262) standards.
- Translate FuSA requirements into detailed test plans and procedures
- Develop and execute unit tests, static coverage analysis, and integration testing to ensure compliance with FuSA standards
- Write high-quality, maintainable code in C or C++ adhering to relevant coding standards (MISRA C/C++, CERT C/C++, AUTOSAR C/C++)
- Track project progress and manage project scope, deliverables, and timeline
- Document work clearly and concisely, utilizing tools like DOORs, JAMA, JIRA, or similar
- Communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and customers
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies
Qualifications
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in automotive SW development and test
- Hands-on working knowledge of ISO26262 functional safety related requirements (FuSA)
- Excellent programming skills in C, C++
- Minimum of 4 years of experience with Vector Cast (VC), VC QA, GTest, or RTRT
- Hands-on experience and knowledge of MISRA C/C++, CERT C/C++, or AUTOSAR C/C++
- Working knowledge of Linux or QNX based systems
- Proficient in SW configuration management tools like Git, GitHub, Gerrit, and similar tools
- Proficient in tools like DOORs, JAMA, JIRA, or similar tools
- Hands-on experience with FuSA requirements in unit test, static coverage analysis, and integration testing
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
- Prior experience leading a team, driving project execution, and interfacing with customers preferred
